The Royal Air Force Video Gaming & Esports Association is a charity organisation dedicated to active serving personnel and veterans.

It offers a community for it’s members to coordinate and gather on various platforms and game genres, to promote positive mental health and reduce isolation that can be felt from gaming and life in general.

Another aim is to provide its members the ability to not only compete but represent their service through a variety of competitions and eSports leagues.

The team Forlorn Hope is comprised of members of the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and British Army. It’s name is an old military terminology regarding the requirement to complete an objective where the risk of causality is deemed high. The teams logo pairs tribute to this by honouring one of history’s largest examples with the depiction of a beach assault, whilst modern units make up the foreground representing that such missions still take place. Four soldiers can be seen, implying that PoV is from the fifth player as a nod to VR eSports.

The teams main goal is to enjoy whilst representing individual services and will change roster to enable other personnel to compete where required. We aim to conduct ourselves to a standard expected and will play to the rules as written.
